| | | How-To | This section provides more technical information and trouble-shooting detail to use our software. | CMS (personal version) | Download - pcmsinx.jar has been downloaded, but cannot run the pcmsinx.jar; check whether the downloaded file is renamed; or the JRE haven't been installed
- Rename the pcmsinx.zip to pcmsinx.jar
- Or download it again, and remember to save the download file type to 'All file types (*.*)'
- Install the Java Runtime Engine (JRE)
| Install - Make sure you have installed the Sun Microsystems' Java Runtime Engine
- Double-click the downloaded pcmsinx.jar
- If some cases, you cannot run the pcmsinx.jar from your Desktop, please move the pcmsinx.jar to any folders (e.g. c:\temp, /root, ...)
- Once the installation is completed, you will find the folder (c:\3s\clinic for Microsoft Windows users, or /usr/3S/clinic for Linux users), and you have similar files (pcmsinx.jar, pcms.jar, ...) in the that folders
| Create Short Cut - If you cannot find the short cut to start the application after the installation, you can create it manually as belows
- For Linux user, download the script to your desktop and modify the locations of JAVA_PROGRAM_DIR and PROGRAM_DIR of the script; finally change this script's attribute to executable
- For MS Windows user, right-click the blank area on the Desktop, and select the Create Short-cut option; type 'javaw -jar pcmsinx.jar' in the location box; press Next until the short-cut is created on the Desktop; right mouse click on the created short cut and select the properties to modify the Startup location as 'c:\3s\clinic'; and save it
| Uninstall - Delete the folder 'c:\3s\clinic' for MS Windows or '/usr/3S/clinic' for Linux
- Delete the short-cut if any
| Backup - All the data are stored in the folder 'c:\3s\clinic' for MS Windows or '/usr/3S/clinic' for Linux
- Use your favorite zip program to zip the whole directory and store it somewhere
